- Electronic displays that are installed in public spaces
- Typically used to entertain, inform or advertise
- Major benefits over traditional static signs are that the content can be exchanged without effort, animations can be shown, the signs can adapt to the context and audience, and even be interactive
- A form of out-of-home advertising in which content and messages are displayed on digital signs, typically with the goal of delivering targeted messages to specific locations at specific times
Interactive Kiosk
- A computer terminal that provides information access via electronic methods
- Sometimes resemble telephone booths, but can also be used while sitting on a bench or chair
- Typically placed in high foot traffic settings such as hotel lobbies or airports
- Integration of technology allows kiosks to perform a wide range of functions, evolving into self-service kiosks
